Echoes of the City - Illuminated Bodies

The idea of this project is that there is beauty beneath the surface of the city. The body is like a metaphor for the city, the skeletal system is the frame work and structure of buildings, the muscular system is the buildings that shape the city, and the physiognomy is the outward appearance of the city. Just as the x-rays reveal that there is beauty within the body that we often overlook by judging based on outward appearances, we often judge a city by its outward
appearance and fail to appreciate the hidden beauty of the city beneath its surface.
